Overview

Replaceable Things: two extraordinary works examining the human condition in the 21st Century.

John De Simone’s deeply personal work Panic Diary is about living with an anxiety disorder where composer and audience immerse themselves in a fragile mind-set. Thomas Butler’s Replaceable Parts for the Irreplaceable You critiques our use of, and reliance upon, new technologies. Both works combine spoken word and cold electronic sound tracks with the virtuosic musicianship of Ensemble Thing.

The moment when the band arrives… is quite electrifying. Joyce McMillan, The Scotsman for Two Trillions

Beautiful original score from Ensemble Thing… Unmissable. Alison Burns, British Theatre Guide for Alma Mater
